The winning tyre 2007 is called Metzeler 6 Days Extreme

The famous Hard Enduro race is known for being one of the most challenging rides for motorcycle enthusiasts. The event draws a huge crowd to Erzberg for a long weekend of events that culminates in the Red Bull Hare Scamble on Sunday. First day was already the first showdown between the KTM Superenduro and the BMW HP2. Title holder David Knight, KTM on Metzeler tyres came only for the first day to participate in the opening event and he got beaten by another Metzeler rider.

Simo Kirssi, the BMW factory rider was in absolute top-form, by winning the first day, and also at both following days, called "Prolog" he finished first. During the 2 "Prolog" days 1.300 riders tried to get the qualification for one of the 500 starter places on the great final on Sunday. And want a final. Heavy rains shortened the race, as due to serious thunderstorms with lightning on the also called Iron Mountain, clearly the race became even more dangerous and has the organisation had to stop the race after nearly 3 hours after only 19 riders finished.

But the perfect sensation was already after 1:29,48 hour.
The Polish rider Tadeuz Blazusiak on his private KTM fitted with Metzeler 6 Days Extreme reached the finish line. Just 6 minutes behind finished another Metzeler rider Tom Sager, the 21-years old KTM Factory-Youngster. And 7 minutes later, one of the very best Enduro iders Juha Salminen; leader of the World Enduro Championship in the E1 class, passed the finish line on his KTM.
