Metzeler riders took an incredible podium clean sweep at the brutal Erzberg extreme enduro, held in Austria this past weekend.

Not a single Grand Prix this year has seemed to have escaped the heat, and upon arriving in Fethiye (Turkey), on the shores of the Aegean Sea, it was no different with a glaring sun and temperatures around 40 degrees, not making it easy for the 70 participants in this 4th event of the 2011 FIM ENDURO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP season to endure 7 hours of riding, 180 km of difficult routes and 13 very technical and demanding timed specials.

Over the weekend in Italy, more specifically the island of Sicily (Francavilla di Sicilia) had the honor of hosting and organizing for the first time in its history an Enduro World Championship race, a discipline with two distinct rounds on Saturday and Sunday




Metzeler signs five year deal as sole tyre supplier for national Superstock 1000 and 600 Championships

Great Britain. As pioneers of single tyre supply in the British Superbike paddock since 2005, Metzeler has been confirmed as the control tyre supplier for the 1000ccc and 600cc National Superstock championships for a further five years.

The annual opening “Spain/Portugal” Championship round came to a close in the Vale De Cambra this past weekend, much to riders’ relief after four intense days of competition. The dust, heat, deep ruts and rugged red clay terrain made this POLISPORT GP of Portugal a challenging competition. Falls were numerous and spectacular, especially in the extreme special where more than 5000 spectators witnessed the technical know-how of the best Enduro riders in the world.

After 6 months of waiting and training, the First of 8 Grand Prix of the 2011 FIM Enduro World Championship season opens with the GP AMV SEGUROS of Spain in the small Catalan city of Ponts.






Metzeler first through third in E2 Class of 2010: World title for Enduro 2 and wins women�s Cup

Mika Ahola is now a four-time Enduro World Champion, having raced his Metzeler 6 Days Extreme equipped CRF450R to victory on the first day of a wet Grand Prix of France. He was in impervious form across the wet terrain, enough to defeat main rival Ivan Cervantes and claim the E2 title for the second time and add this latest accolade to his two previous E1 titles. AHOLA (Honda) has been one of the very best riders in the Enduro World Championship during the last decade and renews the number one plate after another memorable display in central France cements his status as a true leader of the sport.
